Grapes are one of the most precious fruits that God has created for human and raisin has grapes good properties. Raisins are one of the most loved snack for many people in the world. Normally one unit of raisin is drying result of four unit of grape. Therefore one single unit of raisin has much more nutrition value of same equal amount of grape. Raisins are rich in iron, potassium, calcium and B vitamins and have almost no sodium. Also raisins have antioxidant properties and helps prevent cell damage. The fiber content of raisins helps prevent unusual growth of colon cancer cells and also good for constipation and is useful for the treatment of stomach disorder. Finally, consumption of raisins takes laziness away from the body. Raisins have been produced in Iran and Egypt in 2000 BC. In ancient Rome raisins was rewarded to people who decorate their temples and also awarded to winners of sports competitions.
Iran’s climatic diversity, nurtures different types and varieties of the grapes. Thus, taking into account the different methods of drying the grapes, made huge varieties of raisins produced in Iran. Iran is the third largest manufacturer in the production of raisins in the world. Good raisins are produced from grapes without seeds but some varieties are bigger size and tasty is usually made out of grainy grapes and directly used.

Raisins are usually produced in four ways:
1- Sun dried raisin: after harvesting grapes, put them into direct exposure of sunlight on the ground to dry. Drying process and the preparation of this type of raisin is quite natural, organic and without using any chemicals and it is done by only using sunlight. And then thoroughly dried raisins are ready for washing and separation, and the grading and packing process.

2-Sultana raisins: after harvesting grapes soak them in an alkaline solution (usually sodium bicarbonate and raisins oil) then dry them using sunlight.

3- tifi raisin: after harvesting the grapes, they immersed into sodium bicarbonate solution, and hung on clotheslines to dry in the shade.

4- Angoori raisins or golden: after harvesting the grapes, they immersed into alkaline solution and hung up in the shade and quite closed environment than grapes are exposed to sulfur dioxide for coloring procedure, and for the certain period of time they keep the barn doors closed till grapes become very colorful golden yellow raisins.

All types of raisins supplied by our company are washed, dried tailed up and sorted in a completely healthy process then they are running the test for any microbial infections, fungal or possibly pesticide residues and sulfur in the laboratory, when its confirmed by the company’s quality control requirements they are ready to be packed and distributed.
